Youth Players Code of Conduct

As a club we must educate our younger players, that they too must play their part in promoting the highest standard of behaviour in football.

The rules you agree to

As a youth player, one must agree to the following rules:

  • I must respect my coach and team helper.
  • I will always ensure Fair Play, I must not bully, harass or abuse or make fun of my fellow teammates, opposition players or match / Club officials.
  • I will try my best and always play to my ability.
  • I will not use foul language or gestures or obscene language/acts.
  • I will not be involved in any abusive or dangerous behaviours/tackles while playing my matches.
  • I will shake hands with the other team and the referee at the end of the match.
  • I must respect the club’s gear, equipment and clubhouse and must act accordingly when visiting other clubs.

Potential consequences

As a parent /player I understand that if I do not follow the code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by the club or competition administrator. I may be:

  • Required to apologise for my actions
  • Receive a formal warning from my coach or club committee ( parents will be informed of any formal warnings)
  • Be dropped or substituted.
  • Be suspended from training / matches
  • Be suspended from matches by the League due to an accumulation of cards or a red card incident resulting in fines being imposed for my suspension on the club.
  • Be required to leave the club if I receive a final warning and do not adhere to the code of conduct.
